I painted this primarily for the "Barbaria" group show, with the intention of "breaking" the paradigm of the space with a digitally created painting. /// Spoiler: a LOT of contemporary artists are using digital in a variety of forms, so the gallery curator thought it was actually cool to bring this on. Will discuss the avantgarde value of digital paintings on galleries soon... it's a really fascinating subject, and the thing it's already taking over. /// I actually fixed some things I didn't enjoyed and didn't had time to paint, at the time (and rush) of the exhibition, so this might be a "definitive" version, if you will, from the gallery version. Anyway, it's my first "fine arts" digital piece ever.
About this - it's an exploration of a mythology I'm developing, it will start taking form in the coming months/years. No reason to rush it, it's just a personal thing, and I'm truly enjoying the journey. Especially now.
"Shaman", digital painting / 43 X 34 cm ~ around 17 X 13 inches.
Prints wil be available pretty soon.
Now, time to move on to the next.
